Montana Wolves

Montanans are nice, down to earth people who most enjoy the outdoors.  Playful, that like to joke and have fun. The population is not huge and there is plenty of countryside to enjoy.  A great place for anyone to visit or live that loves hiking, wildlife, gem and rock mining, snowmobiling, skiing, fishing, hunting, horseback riding and the list goes on.  The down fall is the government is too big for the population.  They have a government “gone wild.”  These cowboys have not really been held accountable and about 95% of Montanans do not know what is going on behind closed doors.  The government has found a great system on how to make money all in the name of justice and protecting their citizens.  I mean, who is going to argue that locking up criminals is a bad thing?   The problem is, if you don’t know this is going on you could be the next one they decide to target. Yes, by all means criminals need to be locked up.  Not people who are railroaded for profit. Not people where there is no evidence, no proof and charges and convictions are based on “hearsay” and “maybe’s.”  The last time I knew America was not based on that.  You had to have proof and could not convict and sentence based on those things.  They trump up false charges and scare the person being held half to death to get them to plea bargain. “Plea bargaining can present a dilemma to defense attorneys, in that they must choose between vigorously seeking a good deal for their present client, or maintaining a good relationship with the prosecutor, for the sake of helping future clients.”  How can you get fair representation based on this?  How can you get fair representation when the defense attorney tells you “You will not get a fair trial!”

The county attorneys can state that they “thought”  this person committed even more crimes, degrading the person that is being held.  Lies are now called “opinion” and county attorneys can get away with it. But the people don’t know as they read and hear the news that this is only his “opinion”, they believe it to be factual.   You may ask how do I know this?  I know this because I have watched it happen first hand.  I have sat in meetings and heard these things with my own ears coming from the lips of those that say they are trying to protect you.  This is like a wolf  that says it will guard the hen-house.  But, when does the wolf turn?  Can you trust a wolf?  Can you trust the politicians and the government that does these things to others and think that it might not happen to you?  Wolves are a problem in Montana now with the elk population declining.  There is even a bigger problem with wolves in the justice system and government of Montana.

Oh Montana!

I have done a lot of studying, researching, interviews on the whole judicial system of Montana.  I thought that possibly I was seeing a case that was unusual until I started hearing other stories of the same things happening on a larger scale.  Money, Power, Greed, Politicians, Public Defenders, County Attorneys, Attorney General, Judges, Bribes, Fraud, Wrongful Convictions, Big Corporations, Prisons For Profit, Long Sentences, Department Of Corrections Horror Stories, Parole Board Being Handpicked From The Governor, Parole Board Answering To NO One, 94% Being Returned To Prison For Technical Violations And Not For Breaking The Law.  *Resource: http://leg.mt.gov/content/Committees/Interim/2011-2012/Law-and-Justice/Staff-Reports/BOPP%20Overview.pdf

The Verbal, Mental, Emotional and Physical Abuse To Inmates, Probation Officers….the list goes on.  This 2011/2012 Report does not seem to go along with the Parole Board Overviews that you will find on the resource list to the right.

Who does a person trust?  This is not a land of the free and wide open ranges, this is the land of making money off the many inmates that you can convict.  They have a found a money-making scheme that instead of rustling cattle they rustle human lives.  The new way of living in Montana.

I’m Just Me, Looking For Justice

I went to Montana and it was like a dream. The majestic snow-capped mountains. The big blue sky country that Montana is well-known for. Ranches with horses and ranches with cowboys. My first snow winter and the romance. Then my beautiful dream started turning into a nightmare. I started seeing beneath that pristine white snow to the dirtiness underneath. My rose-colored glasses were torn off and stomped upon. I ran head on into a brick wall that is called the Montana Judicial System. A state where corporations and state departments and politicians are like characters out of a western movie. Where those cowboys don’t have to answer to the law, they make the law, where no one is safe. Welcome to the real Montana.
