REMEMBER CHILDHOOD AND OUR INNOCENT RHYMES AND THE DAYS OF POSSIBLY HAVING A LITTLE CLASSMATE THAT KISSED YOU? WELL WE ARE NOT IN KANSAS ANYMORE! NOW THOSE VERY SAME THINGS CAN BE CONSIDERED AS “SEX CRIMES” AND A SMALL CHILD CAN BE LABELED A SEX OFFENDER!
Increasingly, incidents of misbehavior at many U.S. schools are being treated as very serious crimes. For example, when a little girl kissed a little boy at one Florida elementary school recently, it was considered to be a “possible sex crime” and the police were called out.
In Georgia a little 5 year old boy in elementary school hugged a little girl classmate, the police were called out and told the child that he could go to prison for what he did. It was a sex crime. The little boy’s mother had passed away earlier that year. The child was just reaching out for a hug and support. Have we abandoned compassion in the name of sex crimes?
Another child was suspended from school because the teacher overheard the little boy telling his friend that he thought the “teacher was cute.” How many adults growing up had a crush on his or her teacher? If the teacher thought that was “sexual harassment”, I would say that is a problem on her part, not the child’s.
But what happened to one very young student in Stockton, California earlier this year was even worse….
Earlier this year, a Stockton student was handcuffed with zip ties on his hands and feet, forced to go to the hospital for a psychiatric evaluation and was charged with battery on a police officer. That student was 5 years old.
Montana has been talking about labeling children as sex offenders. It was in the Independent Record. I asked “how young are we talking about?” The article was removed.
Parents all in the name of safety and Montana has become paranoid about sex offenders….do you think that your 5 year old child is a sex offender? If he or she kisses another child out on the playground do you really deem it necessary for them to be a labeled sex offender for the rest of their life? Think! Realize what is happening!
This was a popular movie and portrays many of us adults as we grew up. Do we really consider this now as a “sex offense” especially at this age? America! Our paranoia and superstition has taken away rational reasoning!
Montana do you really want to do this? This is what Montana DOJ and Law Enforcement are coming down too. Speak up and let your voices be heard!!
