- PRISON PUPS AT CROSSROADS CORRECTIONAL IN SHELBY, MONTANA
It has been brought to our attention that Crossroads Correctional Institute in Shelby, MT is having some dog issues. Dogs being used to barter and threaten for sex. Two weeks ago it was reported to a staff supervisor by an inmate that the Unit Manager over the A and D pod with the dog training program is involved in a sexual relationship with an inmate. The staff confronted her with the accusations.
The Unit Manager retaliated, to get even with the inmate that reported the incident. She told other inmates that this inmate was in prison for a sexual violation. Which he was not and it caused a fight to break out and this inmate has been put in solitary. When the staff heard what she had done they suspended her from work for 2 days. Last Friday she was turned in yet again for having sex with an inmate. This inmate is from the D pod and is in her dog training program.
In this case she went to an inmate called “Big Momma” and told him to take her lover in the D pod and help him through the dog training. “Big Momma” has had clear conduct for a long time and did not want to get involved. He decided to report the situation to another Unit Manager. That Unit Manager stated that they had suspected this was going on. It was then reported to other staff. As a result of this, the dog training Unit Manager threatened “Big Momma”, made him give up his dog that he was in the process of training, read him the riot act for not keeping his big mouth shut and told him that he would pay for this. ”Big Momma” then went to the Assistant Warden with his problem. This was just yesterday on May 20th, 2012.
This is not the first time that female staff have been accused and admitted to having sex with inmates. In 2010 there was a huge scandal at Montana State Prison with 5 of the staff employed admitted to having sex with an inmate. One being a therapist herself. Montana Department Of Justice and Montana Department Of Corrections has done an excellent job at keeping these incidents secretive so they do not lose their funding. They have no problem convicting Montana citizens of sex offenses, even with no evidence. Yet, when it is brought up in one of their own departments it gets swept under the rug. Montana, when are you going to say “enough is enough?” This is to the point where it is laughable with Montana looking like a joke with their sex offense situation or it is sad what our officials will do for money. Montana citizens it is time to make a stand!

It is a higher rate with the Correctional Institutions staff than it is by other inmates.

This comment was left over on “Mentally Disabled” I think this might have been meant to go here.
“A certain woman that works at Shelby prison is getting away with sexual misconduct. She has been caught at least twice, the last time I had a hand in getting her caught and she still works as a case manager but the inmate gets transferred and in trouble bull s… My husband is in there and there are men of course if the chance comes along 1/2 of them just might go for it but she’s a case manager, there to rehabilitate them! She needs to be fired if not more, cause she keeps doing this and keeps getting caught and keeps her job! What’s wrong with this? Someone tell me please!”

I worked for the prison in shelby from Feb. 2012 to April 2012. I was forced to resign because I was talking to inmates and treating them like actual human beings. I was talked to a couple times by other staff telling me that they’re nothing, and they just use us and want to get us in trouble…I can agree to that to a point, they’re people who have made mistakes. They don’t deserve to be treated poorly because of that. The guards or anyone working there are not better then them. I believe montana should go public with these things. There are a few great staff there who really do their job and respect the inmates…and 95% do not deserve to work there. They treat the inmates with so much disrespect its sickening. I’m taking a small first step to expose the truth. When montana is ready I will tell more. All the secrets and the truth of how the inmates are really treated. Thank you.
