Boy Quotes Song Lyrics – “I’m Sexy and I Know It”; School Tells Mother It’s Sexual Harassment

“I only just said the song,” D’Avonte Meadows told 7NEWS. “I’m sexy and I know it.”

Forms from the school indicate the first-grader was suspended for sexual harassment, which the school district‘s discipline code says has “negative affects of the learning or work of others.”

D’Avonte said he and the girl were standing in the lunch line when he used the song lyric.

“I could understand if he was fondling her, looking up her skirt, trying to look in her shirt. That, to me, is sexual harassment,” said Stephanie Meadows, D’Avonte’s mother. “I’m just, I’m floored. They’re going to look at him like he’s a pervert. And it’s like, that’s not fair to him.”

“I think it’s kind of overwhelming. You know, sexual harassment on a 6-year-old?” Meadows said. “I don’t understand. You know, kids are kids.”

I have been saying children are being set up to fail.  Everything on tv anymore is about sex.  Most songs and videos talk about sex.  Too much for children of any age.  Children don’t understand that celebrities can do that on tv and on the radio but they cannot in real life.  Sex education is everywhere now and children and even adults are saturated with it.  Truly what goes in a mind comes out in a life.  We are raising children in a sexual environment that will cause them to respond and then they will be punished and labeled a sex offender.  America, is this what you truly want?  This whole paragraph would be nonsense if it weren’t really happening. We see so much in the news of younger and younger children being suspended, arrested and handcuffed.  We see that they are already talking about labeling sex offenders at a very young age.
